The JSPR ranking system determines New England Prep Hockey Elite 8 playoff seedings.
Rankings are based on the following criteria:

1) head-to-head record
2) which team has the stronger RPI
3) record against common opponents
4) record against TUCs (teams under consideration, or, the top 16)

A JSPR point is gained if a team beats another team in above comparison group
(a tie or loss = 0 points for both teams)
