Belmont Hill 1 @ Tabor 1 (OT) -- Belmont Hill outshot Tabor, 49-23, but had to settle for a 1-1 tie as Seawolves junior netminder Gus Ackerman (48/49) came up with his season's best game. His counterpart, Belmont Hill freshman JJ Thibodeau (23/24) was also excellent. Tabor's goal came when junior Josh Itri scored in the final minutes of the second. And that's where things stood until, with 1:04 left in regulation and the extra attacker on, Belmont Hill senior F Ronan O'Donnell finally solved Ackerman.
@ Avon Old Farms 3, Berkshire 1 -- Senior G Stephen Peck kicked out 20 shots, and seniors Alex Pelletier and Arthur Mirante, and junior Ryan Flaherty scored the goals as the Winged Beavers won their third straight, improving to 12-2-0. Berkshire senior G Cole O'Donnell (29/32) took the loss.
Proctor 7 @ Tilton 4 -- Junior F Finn Connor (2g,2a) and PG Jon Groth (2g) led the attack, and junior G Caden Pasqualone (37/41) picked up the win in net. The Hornets were outshot 41-28. After starting the season 9-1, Tilton has lost four of six, falling to 11-5-0. Proctor improves to 9-6-0.
@ Hill 4, Gunn 1 -- Senior Ryan Kearney (2g,1a) and junior George Acklin (1g,2a) led the attack and senior Ryan Sanborn (37/38) came up big in net to lead host Hill past Gunn. Gunn senior G Ryan Crowshaw (32/35) took the loss. Gunn will attempt to gain a weekend split when the two teams meet again on Sunday (2:30 pm).
St. Mark's 5 @ St. George's 2 -- The Lions found the back of the net four times in the first period and never looked back. Sophomore Richard Gallant and junior Austin Borggaard each scored a pair, and junior defenseman Calvin Beard picked up 4 assists. Lions' senior G Jeevan Anand kicked out 20 of 22 shots for the win. Both shots that eluded him came off the stick of sophomore -- and Dragons' leading scorer -- Colin Walsh. St. Mark's is 5-0-0 vs. Eberhart opponents this season.
Milton 6 @ Pomfret 4 -- Seniors Henry Cohen, Jacob Pohl, and Mikka Kelechian each notched three points as the Mustangs won for the fourth time in five games, improving to 11-4-2 on the season.
@ North Yarmouth Academy 2, Worcester Academy 1 -- NYA senior goalie Aidan Farion saved 26 of 27 shots, propelling his team to victory behind first-period goals from seniors Zach Stabb and Daxton St. Hilaire. WA senior Ethan Jasmin scored in the third, but it proved too little, too late. Worcester junior G Braden Clifford (42/44) took the tough-luck loss. NYA has a 10-game unbeaten streak (8-0-2) going.
@ Winchendon 3, Kents Hill 1 -- Junior Willem Dumais and senior Liam Forsyth tallied first-period goals for Winchendon, with the latter standing up as the game-winner. Junior Marcus Macchioni scored the lone goal for Kents Hill. Wapiti goalie Giovanni Calvanese, a junior, kicked out 25 of 26 for the win.
@ Kimball Union 4, Stanstead College 1 -- Sophomore F Corwith Simmers paced KUA, scoring twice -- the latter an ENG -- and adding an assist. Junior D Ian Ramsay had a pair of helpers. The Wildcats' senior goaltender, Dan Heroux, kicked out 30 of 31 shots. KUA has won six straight to improve to 13-4-0.
Taft 4 @ Canterbury 3 (OT) -- Late in the third period of a back-and-forth contest, Canterbury junior Ryan Stratton, with his second goal of the day, sent the game to overtime. There, Rhinos' senior JJ Lemieux found the back of the net to give Taft the road win. Taft sophomore Brady Morris, in his second start of the season, kicked out 32 of 35 for the win. Saints' junior Mitch Stenger (33/37) took the loss.
Lawrenceville 4 @ Albany Academy 1 -- Albany senior Austin Jerzak scored a power-play goal to break a scoreless tie in the early stages of the third, but Lawrenceville responded with four unanswered goals across the game's final 13 minutes to win handily. The game-winner belonged to junior Troy Negus. L'ville junior Kyle Ozgun (23/24) got the win in net. For AA, senior Devin Shakar went 28/32.
@ Brunswick 7, Hoosac 3 -- Juniors Sean Gibbons and Luc Lampert each scored twice to lead the Bruins in a home rout of the Owls, who dropped their third straight. Junior D-man Logan Kearley scored twice for the Owls. Brunswick backup Will Baker, a junior starting his fourth game of the year, was 20/23 in net. Hoosac senior Trey Thompkins (49/56) took the loss.
Dexter 2 @ Brooks 2 (OT) -- Dexter -- rather incredibly -- has five ties in its last six games. And they had to earn this one the hard way, coming back from a two-goal deficit on the road. Brooks, on goals by seniors Will Rassier and Jeremy Emchheld, held a 2-0 lead at the game's midway point. But senior d-man Mick Frechette single-handedly lifted the visitors to the tie, scoring a powerplay goal in the second, and the equalizer with less than five minutes left. Dexter has a total of seven ties on the season: three 2-2 games, and four 1-1 games.
@ Cushing 6, Loomis Chaffee 0 -- Cushing senior Cooper Rautenstrauch stopped all 21 shots he faced, including a handful of grade-A chances, as the Penguins rolled at home. Six different Cushing players scored, with junior Landan Resendes, a BC commit, having a couple of helpers to go along with his tally. Resendes's goal in the second and Linas Dedinas's in the third both came with the Penguins shorthanded. LC senior Andrew Heinze was 28/34 in net. Cushing, which took its first loss of the season Wednesday at Thayer, improves to 13-1-3. Loomis, which had won three straight, falls to 9-4-2.
@ Noble & Greenough 7, Andover 1 -- Three Bulldogs -- sophomore forwards Ted MacAusland and Dennis Davidson, and senior defenseman Will Brophy -- racked up a goal and two assists to lead Nobles' attack. Nobles sophomore G Thatcher Bernstein (15/16) played the first two periods, teaming up with junior Tyler Bloomfield (10/10) to earn the win. Nobles is 13-1-1 on the season. Andover, meanwhile, dips below .500 for the first time since December.
Kent 2 @ Salisbury 0 -- Kent completed a two-game season sweep of Salisbury behind junior Aidan Hopewell's 36-save shutout. Junior Jack Roberts scored a powerplay goal in the first. Senior Chris Bugliosi added another in the second. Salisbury's Matt Alberti, a PG goalie, went 18/20. With eight games still to play, Salisbury's sixth loss surpasses its 2021-22 loss total. Kent is 4-1-2 over its last seven games.
Exeter 4, Hotchkiss 1 -- In a neutral site game played at Eaglebrook School, Exeter was led by two goals from sophomore F Dryden Dervish -- both in the third period -- and a big 43-save performance from senior G Michael Salvatore. After starting the season 2-6-0, Exeter is 6-1-1 over its last eight games to go one game over .500 at 8-7-1. The lone Hotchkiss score was a 5x3 goal by senior Shayne Bjorn. Senior Grant Kloeber went 24/28 for the Bearcats, who are winless in three games since beating Avon.
@ Choate 5, Deerfield 3 -- In a game of runs, Choate led 4-0 in the third before Deerfield stormed back with three goals in a nine-minute span, drawing within a goal. However, Wild Boars' senior goalie Primo Baldassarre (27/30) held off the Big Green, and the hosts sealed the deal with an empty-netter. Seniors Jake Kavanagh (2g) and Evan Partridge (2a) led the Wild Boars; PG Nate Heithoff (1g,1a) and junior Tom Molson (2a) paced Deerfield. After an 0-8-4 start, Choate has won back-to-back games for the first time since 2017.
Rivers 5 @ BB&N 1 -- Freshman Stephen Rousell and junior Jacob Kulas tallied a goal and an assist apiece, helping Rivers to its second win over BB&N in a week's time. The Knights' only goal belonged to sophomore d-man Noah Rosado.
