Avon Old Farms 3 @ Kent 2
--
Avon head coach John Gardner earned his 700th win today as the Winged Beavers, playing on the road, came back from a 2-0 first period deficit to win 3-2 on junior Tyler Carangelo's second goal of the game with 47 seconds remaining. Avon senior Tucker Weppner (29/31) got the win, while Kent soph Peter Negron (32/35) took the loss.

Salisbury 4 @ Westminster 2
--
Westminster's Jack Fitzgerald scored a SHG to put the hosts up 2-0 early in the second, but #5 Salisbury bounced back with three in the second, and added another in the third. Junior F Mike O'Leary (2g,1a) led Salisbury, who were outshot 36-22. PG G Bailey MacBurnie (34/36) had a big day between the pipes for Salisbury, which has won six in a row. Westminster has lost four of their last five.

@ Belmont Hill 5, Governor's 3 -- Belmont Hill got goals from five different scorers today to make up for a 3-2 loss at Gov's on Dec. 10. Exeter 4 @ Andover 3 (OT) -- Exeter had a 2-0 lead early in the second, but Andover came back with three straight goals to take a 3-2 lead. Exeter senior Andy Espinoza tied it up with 3:56 left in the second. After a scoreless third period, the game went into OT, where senior Teddy Hart won it, giving Exeter Part I of the rivalry. PG Bryan Botcher (30/33) got the win; Andover senior Erik Wurman (37/41) took the loss. #2 Exeter is now 14-0-0.

Loomis 7 @ Hotchkiss 1 -- Seniors Alex Esposito (2g,1a), Ben Sharf (1g,2a), and Eric Benshadle (1g,2a) led the Pelicans offense. In net, junior Tim Birarelli (21/22) played two periods, and soph Adin Farhat (8/8) played one. Shots were 30-30. #1 Loomis improves to 13-1-0.

Senior G Conor O'Brien stopped 29 of 32 for the win.

Worcester Academy 2 @ Kingswood-Oxford 1 (OT) -- Freshman D Devin Lannan scored at 2:20 of OT to lift the Hilltoppers to the road win. Freshman G Devin Barresi kicked out 23 of 24 for the win.

New Hampton 6 @ Hebron 2 -- Junior forwards Dominick Thomas, with a hat trick, and Ty Turgeon, with a goal and two assists, led the New Hampton attack. Junior G Jacob Burhans picked up the win in goal.

@ Choate 4, Taft 2 -- Taft took a 2-1 lead into the third, but Choate responded with three consecutive goals, from Jeremy Germain, Henry Marshall, and Craig Uyeno (an empty-netter). Also, senior F Turner Uppgren had a goal and an assist for the Wild Boars, and senior F Trevor McGee did likewise for the Rhinos. Choate senior G Andrew Tucci (22/24) got the win and Taft sophomore G Andrew Farrier took the loss.
