Exeter Remains Undefeated; Brunswick Hands Loomis First Loss

@ Exeter 3, Brooks 2 -- Exeter knocked Brooks from the ranks of the undefeated today, but it didn't come easily. After Brooks F PJ Kelleher notched his second goal of the day to make it a 2-2 game midway through the second, Exeter's Ben Solin, with his second goal of the day, scored what held up as the game-winner. The goal came on the PP at 11:35 of the second, and that was it for the day's scoring. The goalies took care of things the rest of the way. Bryan Botcher (22/24) got the win for Exeter. Max Prawdzik kicked out 20 of 23 in a losing cause. "Coming off the layoff, it wasn't a sharp or crisp game," Exeter coach  Dana Barbin said. "But it was a hard-fought game. Brooks is solid, tough, and smart with the puck. They battled hard." 

@ Brunswick 4, Loomis-Chaffee 3 -- Brunswick (14-3-0), which has been causing havoc for a lot of teams thus far, pulled off a big one today, knocking off  #1-ranked and previously unbeaten Loomis. Host Brunswick fell behind 3-2 in the second period, but junior Colin Slyne tied it at 3-3 with his second of the day, a PP tally with 1:22 left in the second period. Early in the third -- at 1:10 -- sophomore Christian LeSueur gave Brunswick the lead and senior G Matteo Esposito (28/31) barred the door the rest of the way. Sophomore D Phil Kemp (1g,1a) and senior D Michael Faulkner (2a) also figured in the Wick's attack.

Nobles 4 @ St. Sebastian's 0 -- Junior F Mike Fahie and soph. F Cam Burke each scored two goals. Senior F Miles Wood had two assists, as did juniors Danny Jacobs and Luke Stevens. Nobles outshot St. Seb's, 25-20. Junior Brendan Cytulik notched the shutout.

Lawrence Academy 4 @ BB&N 3 -- After BB&N senior Fuller Winton and freshman Jack Studley scored a pair of goals 40 seconds apart with a little over five minutes to go in the third period, Lawrence soph Craig Needham scored the game-winner with 1:01 on the clock. Needham (2g,1a) and senior Evan Dahl (1g,1a) each had multiple points for LA. Junior F Chris Butler and sophomore F Alex Cohen each had two assists for BB&N.

@ Choate 6, Kingswood-Oxford 2 -- Senior D Brendan Russ (2g,1a) and junior F Henry Marshall (1g,2a) each had three points to lead the Wild Boars' attack.

Pomfret 3 @ Deerfield 1 -- Pomfret junior goaltender David Altman kicked out 31 of 32 shots to lead his team to a road win at Deerfield. Pomfret junior D Raphael Guillebon had three assists and forwards Cam McGuire (1g,1a) and Andrew Shields (1g,1a) each had two points.

@ Belmont Hill 1, Milton 0 -- A first-period unassisted goal by sophomore Christian O'Neil was all the offense the home team needed today. Junior goaltender Matthew Barrow (22/22) took care of the rest. Milton senior Drew Hotte (32/33) had a strong game too.

Proctor 4 @ Tilton 3 -- A goal by sophomore Tate Singleton with one second left on the clock lifted Proctor to a 4-3 road win. Singleton (1g,1a) and senior Derek Britner (1g,1a) each had two points for the Hornets. Senior Justin Goldman (2a) had the same for the Rams. Proctor outshot Tilton 33-19.

St. Mark's 5 @ Berwick 0 -- Junior D Peter Housakos (2g,1a), and junior forwards Luke O'Brien (1g,1a)  and Zach Tsekos (1g,1a) led the Lions today. Junior Ryan Ferland got the shutout, kicking out 23 shots.

@ Dexter 5, Rivers 2 -- Juniors Kevin Hock (2g,1a) and Patrick Daley (2a), and seniors Bryan Green (2g), Ryan Donato (1g,1a), and Sam D'Antuono (2a) led the Dexter attack. Senior Joe Sacco and sophomore Charlie Lawerence each scored a goal for the visitors.

@ Groton 5, Moses Brown 1 -- Junior Michael Brown (2g,2a), freshman Chris Brown (3a), and soph Kei Nawa (2g) paced the Groton offense. Junior Ben McLean, in his first start of the season, stopped 17 of 18 shots. Groton outshot the Quakers 49-18, who are having a tough season (1-14-0).

@ Albany Academy 9, Portledge 4 -- Senior Nick Boyagian (2g,2a), soph Liam Bove (2g,1a), PG Tyson Araujo (2g,1a), and junior Kevin O'Neil (1g,2a) paced then Cadets' attack. For Portledge, junior F Eric Linell (2g,2a) and senior D Joe Deszak (1g,3a) each had four points.
 
Millbrook 5 @ Berkshire 3-- Millbrook broke open a 2-2 game with three consecutive third-period goals, the last an empty-netter. Junior Massimo Luciani (1g, 2a), senior Jacob Moreau (2g), and soph Matt Gosiewski (1g,1a) led the Mustangs' offense. Junior goaltender Owen Johansson (30/33) picked up the win. Berkshire junior G Sam Merrill (21/25) suffered the loss.

@ Gunnery 3, Kent 2 -- Junior F Cam Donaldson scored with 35 seconds left to lift host Gunnery to a 3-2 win over Kent. PG Alex Hopkins and freshman Zach Pellegrino scored Gunnery's other goals. Senior F Max Kaufman (1g,1a) and junior D Greg Krisberg (2a) figured in both Kent goals. In net, Gunnery junior Trevin Kozlowski (23/25) got the win. Kent sophomore Peter Negron (32/35) took the loss. Gunnery has won seven of their last eight.

North Yarmouth Academy 4 @ Kents Hill 3 -- Junior Josh Chapman (1g,2a) and freshman Michael Pitts (2g) led NYA.
