Wed. Jan. 16 Highlights
Gunnery 4 @ Millbrook 4 – With goalie Dawson Sprigings pulled for the extra attacker, senior Anthony Bird scored with 53 seconds on the clock to lift #2-ranked Gunnery (13-2-4), playing on the road, to a tie. Millbrook is now 7-7-3 on the season, but if you take a look at their game results they’ve been a tough opponent, generally beating the teams they should beat -- and keeping the score close in all the others. Junior G Connor Rodericks earned himself the shutout, stopping all 32 shots he faced.

@ St. Mark’s 4, Holderness 1 – The host Lions put this one in the bag with three consecutive third period goals, the last an empty-netter. Senior Ryan Medeiros (2g,1a) figured in all three tallies. Williston 6 @ Vermont Academy 5 – After Williston took a 6-3 lead into the second intermission, a pair of goals by VA forward Kurt Rodrigues 7 seconds apart early in the third – the senior’s 2nd and 3rd tallies of the game -- turned this one into a nail-biter. Williston PG AJ Unker had a hat trick for the winning side – and added an assist as well.

@ Choate 4, Berkshire 4 – Playing on the road, #3-ranked Berkshire held a 4-2 lead early in the third, but goals by soph Charley Borek and senior co-captain Luke May allowed the #9-ranked Wild Boars to pull even and come out with the tie. Borek (2g,1a) and May (1g,2a) each had three-point nights. Junior Nick O’Connor had a pair of goals for Berkshire, which is now 13-2-2 with an 11-game unbeaten streak. The Bears most recent loss was to #2-ranked Gunnery, back on Dec. 5.

St. Paul’s 3 @ Nobles 2 – A goal by sophomore Connor Sodergren with nine seconds left lifted SPS to the road win. Nobles had a two-goal lead with under five minutes to play, but let it slip away. Senior Michael Pinios (21/23) picked up the win for St. Paul’s.

Delbarton 10 @ Bishop Eustace 2 – Seniors Josh Melnick (3g,2a) and John Baiocco (1g,3a), and soph JC MacLean (3g) led the Delbarton attack. Delbarton outshot their hosts 53-8 in this one.
