The Summer Wind Came Blowin' in from Across the Sea

Can you believe they were playing that song at the Patriots game Saturday night? Would that have made you feel any warmer?

Anyway, tomorrow is going to be cold again in New England, and particularly so in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, where Holderness, which features a rink open to the outdoors -- builds character, man --  was planning to host Winchendon for a 4:00 pm game tomorrow. However, with gametime highs predicted to be five below xero, and with a brisk wind bringing wind chill values in the minus 40-50 range, they decided to move it indoors. The game, then, will be played at the nearby Waterville Valley Ice Arena at 2:15 pm.

On Friday night at 7:30 pm Tabor is scheduled to play at Holderness. That game may be moved, too, even though the weather is predicted to be a relatively balmy six degrees, with a 17 mph breze.

If you are fortunate enough to be playing in a meaningful game today, don't take it for granted, don't squander it. Instead, dig deep, work to the height of your ability, and help make the day one you'll remember forever, win or lose.
