Tournament Scoring, etc.
Please note that the abbreviated box scores we ran on this page during the Christmas and New Year's tournaments were supplied to us by the respective tournaments. However, none of the tournament stats will appear in the Team Results/Scoring Leaders section above unless the box scores are also submitted electronically by the competing schools. Electronic submission is the only way in which information gets officially recorded on this site.
Box scores can be submitted at any time, and corrections to existing box scores, schedules, etc. can also be made at any time.
The info we ran during the tournaments was just a quick and dirty accounting so players and fans would be able to check on the day's action.
We mention this because we received e-mail from some readers wondering about it all. Basically, we provide, at no cost to the schools, the web-based architecture that enables them to submit information. We also provide free assitance -- boys, girls, Div. I or II -- to any school that requests it. We take our mission seriously because what we are compiling here is prep hockey history. Decades from now somebody may want to look up some game from back in 2004. We just want to have the best info possible for them.
