UCC Wins Second Major Holiday Tournament

Upper Canada College, winners of the Lawrenceville Christmas Tournament two weeks ago, today won the Tabor New Year’s Tournament, topping the New England Coyotes 3-1 in the title game.

Senior Michael Bienstock, junior Brayden Irwin, and senior Alex Rouleau each scored for UCC. Sebastien Belanger and Princeton recruit Jean-Francois Boucher each had a pair of assists.

Championship Game: Upper Canada College 3, New England Jr. Coyotes 1 – For UCC: Boucher (2a), Belanger (2a), Bienstock (g), Irwin (g), Rouleau (g), Greening (a). 3rd Place Game: Gov. Dummer 6, St. Sebastian’s Country Day 4 – St. Seb’s led 4-3 after two, but GDA came back with three unanswered goals in the third.
